I charged my TB overnight, unplugged the charger and normally it comes up to the slider screen. The phone remained with a blank screen so I pushed the power button quickly to wake it up, but still nothing. Pushed and held the power button, expecting that the phone had powered off for some reason, but what came up was a white screen that was obviously at a system level. Choices included s-on, bootloader, root, and a few other things. I managed to get to "power off" and the phone then powered up normally but had to reload the SD card.

Oh, just in case its asked, no, I have not rooted the phone.

HTC tech support was no help because the "phone was working normally now".

if the phone was off like you thought and you pushed the vol down when you powered it on it would bring up that screen

That could have been the case with the way I hold the phone. Would have been nice if tech support could have offered that :(

Thank you.

ya the way I hold the phone I am always turning the volume down and have booted to that screen a few times, I figured it out when I first got the phone and did it the first time I turned the phone on
