Auto screen lock during calls

Anyone else having trouble with the screen automatically turning off while the phone is to their ear? Ever since I rooted and removed just the vzw bloatware, it doesn't seem to work unless I hit the standby button. It worked fine before the root. Looked for something in settings but no luck.

It's supposed to turn off when it's up to your ear and come back on when it's not. So it's not coming back on? Is it actually locking? You could try the No Lock app in the market to see if it helps at all.

No the screen isn't locking at all unless I lock it and I no I didn't have this problem before root
