Why won't data and wifi work while abroad?

[AC Question]

I'm visiting Europe with my Galaxy S5 is receiving no data. I am currently logged in to wifi on both my phone and my laptop, and my phone won't sync emails or access the internet. My laptop logged onto the same wifi has no problems.

I've tried turning mobile data on and off, as well as restarting my phone. Any help?

Well what carrier are you using? I believe you're supposed to have a international plan.
