Where did the favorite contacts ribbon go on the default Samsung messaging app?

I have a Note 5 and am trying to figure out how to get my favorite contacts ribbon added back to the top of the messaging app when looking at the recent messages page. Has anyone else ran into this issue?

Hi, I'm not sure if that feature still exists - I could be wrong though so I'll ask about.
