How do you map the Gallery app to your DCIM folder?

I recently backed up the DCIM folder on my phone to my PC so I could do a factory reset in an attempt to resolve some issue I have been having. After the phone was up and running I deleted the original DCIM folder and copied in the one from my PC to the same location, but when I open the Gallery app it shows no photos or albums. How can I get this resolved so it points to the DCIM folder I copied in?

I figured it out. I forgot to also restore the .metadata folder.
