A while back I broke my Nexus 7 screen due to a short fall to the ground... 1 hairline crack in the screen in the top bezel part not even in the viewing part of the screen totally my fault. The screen fires up and from what I can see everything is works good but it does not respond to touch, but it works with a mouse hooked up through OTG
My question is I have smashed an iphone 3 and 4 screen and have seen many cracked screens on other brands of phones, and they would all still respond to touch. I have read here many others have one or 2 small cracks and they all do not respond to touch. Whats the difference with the nexus 7 screen that it fails to respond to touch with one crack while many others with smashed screens still work?
