Sounds about right. Panda said that the holdup with announcing the release date is all on HTC -- they haven't shipped the final product yet.

I feel your pain. I own a Samsung Frustrate as well. HTC actually gives half a cr@p about their customers though. I would bet my next paycheck that HTC updates the EVO, EVO Shift, Incredible and Thunderbolt to GB, and relatively soon.

If you sign a contract at $30 for the data I don't see how that can upcharge you...

I'm saying that if they make it a promo thing to get the first LTE phone by no charging you a LTE "Surcharge" then I'm all for it. No guarantee they wouldn't do that for Bionic or others.

Quick question, I am in the midst of splitting up from a family plan, would I have to make it final before pre-ordering at Best Buy, or can I change the plans during the week after I preorder? Do I really need to preorder at all?
Sorry I know this sounds more like a question for VZ or BB imo.

I personally don't feel like VZW will do pre-orders for this phone. And I still feel like Verizon will start selling its own phone, as in actually getting it into peoples' hands, before Best Buy starts.

I really hope they don't let Best Buy sell it first. It seems like every Verizon I call, people know nothing about the Thunderbolt, and every Best Buy they at least know a detail or two. Maybe VZW is just trained to not say a word to the general public for now?

But on a different note, that would be sweet if it was out the 10th, just don't see that happening though.
