Notification Curtain Issue After ICS Update - Help?

The notification curtain used to include the arrival of new mail (Gmail) but that no longer appears after ICS update. Is there a way to place new mail arrival back on the drop down curtain? Is this a "sync" issue? I also noticed that Gmail does not appear under my list of Accounts. Should it be there?

I fixed the problem.... Just in case anyone else runs up on this. It is an account sync issue. For whatever reason, after the ICS update Gmail was no longer synced. Go to Settings>Accounts & Sync> select Google and make sure Gmail is check marked. After doing this, new mail arrivals are noted on the drop down curtain.
