My S6 updated just fine. Then I started the update on my wife's S6. Checked later and the reboot screen was on. Did the reboot, banner said update was unsuccessful. Error code 410. Phone still works fine in 5.0.2. So what do we do next?

Mine just said that it failed, but it shows 5.1.1 under the about section. I would restart your phone and check again and see if it is available maybe?

Make sure that there are no issues with your wireless network and try again. At least you have an update to download. On AT&T, still waiting.

Don't really notice much difference yet jcp. Maybe a little smoother. But I have only had it done a few minutes so we shall see how it holds up

Did you clear the cache partition?
I did. Don't get me wrong it's very smooth. But I am coming from not restarting my phone in like 2 weeks and only clearing the cache last time there was and update. May still reformat but right now I have no need to

My 2nd attempt did work. I re-downloaded the update and prior to the install: cleared the cache and re-enabled two apps that had been disabled. One verizon app - cloud and one google app - wallet. Several other 3rd party bloatware apps were left disabled.
So now both of our S6 phones are happy on 5.1.1.
