I have a Galaxy S8 (Sprint) that has two keyboard related issues, that might be related. I notice it most in the default messenger and in Facebook posts and comments.
First problem:
Often times there is a leading space when entering text. I have been very cognizant of making sure I am not hitting the space key.
Second problem:
When I use the shift key and swype a word, it changes the case to all lower case, instead of proper case. I have turned off auto spell check. Auto capitalize is on, and it does work if there is not a space at the beginning of the line, or the text follows the end of a sentence (. !, ?)
