I have been considering rooting my phone and trying the new radios. Before I do it, has anyone else tried the new radios to solve the 4G drop problem?

I was an original Galaxy Nexus owner that had his Korean Nexus replaced with two Chinese phones that will not hold a 4G signal. The replacements will hold a signal fine in CDMA. I am in a solid 4G area. My original Korean Nexus had no problems. I am in Pittsburgh. I have tested the two replacements in two other major cities Chicago and Baltimore. VZW cannot say this is a signal issue. I know this is a known issue.

I am wondering if I should wait for Jelly Bean to maybe solve this problem or continue to play hardware roulette. The record post I read on someones replacements was eleven. I am at two.

This really sucks. No 4G on a 4G phone. With LTE and CDMA enabled you cannot complete a call without it dropping. Forget 4G data.
