How can I access my screen dead LG G3's internal memory?

This is a $450 phone LG G3. (LG-D855P...16GB memory, can't check which operating system it runs.)
It supports/supported USB transfer, but now only the menu/home/back area at the bottom of the screen functions.
I have the correct USB adapter and a Toshiba notebook.
I'm in a remote tropical jungle, with no knowledgeable help nearby. I desperately need a video from the phones internal memory to help a fundraising campaign to save an animal sanctuary here. The phone will recognise a micro SD card, if i insert one.
