How do I delete those annoying Google backup pictures? They're taking up all my memory!

I run out of picture space so quickly!! Why won't it let me delete them? It's seriously wasting my memory!! Please help! (I have a Samsung Galaxy Exhibit)

Welcome to Android Central! The backup photos themselves shouldn't be taking up that much space, because they're in the cloud. The thumbnails of the photos might take some space, but the full photos shouldn't be stored locally.

In any case, go to Settings>Accounts-Google>[your Google account], and uncheck Picasa or Gallery or Google Photos (it can vary with the device). Now go to the App Manager, select Gallery, and Clear Cache/Data, then Force Stop. When you open Gallery again, it should rebuild its database without the cloud photos.
