How can I silence the music at startup/reboot regardless of volume mode on my s24 plus? I was able to do it on previous Samsung phones no problem

My tmobile version does that irritating tmobile chime with every restart. I agree it's annoying but I can only plan on muting sounds prior to reboot. I wish I could change it like I could back when I rooted.

Welcome to AC!
Which start up music?
Your device international or US?
Carrier version?
It's AT&T. In US. I could mute but I don't always have my phone on mute or remember to have volume down and that is embarrassing in a quiet location. I was able to just silence start up sounds regardless of volume level in my s20, but I can't find that option here.

Thanks for your reply. I'm sorry I don't know, but I have the factory unlocked phone from Samsung, which doesn't play any sounds when I reboot it.

The old way I remember was go to settings>notifications>app notifications>3 dots upper right corner tap>show system apps>scroll down to system UI tap>notifications categories tap>phone restarted tap on that

See if notifications are silent

My Xfinity Mobile S23+ does not play any boot-up tone.

Btw . . .
We were paying approx $150 /mo with AT&T for 3 unlimited lines.
With Xfinity we're only paying $60 /mo. for 2 unlimited lines;
🔸and we received a $100 Visa gift card for each line transfered from AT&T
🔸and $300 off each of our new phones– for each line transferred from AT&T

Well here's my Homer Simpson Doh moment. My S24U never makes a sound and it's bc I always mute before rebooting (habit bc hate the tmobile sound). Just tried it now without muting - silent. 🤦‍♂️ this is the first time I've purchased an unlocked version. I realized after doing research before that T-Mobile Wi-Fi calling works even on unlocked devices. So I thought why not. And I'm very glad I did buy this version for this added little treat of silent restarts 😁
