How to stop automatic download and installation of malicious apps?

Whenever there is a network, malicious apps get downloaded and it is installed without any explicit action. These apps come in the names of well known apps, like, flipkart, various games apps, Settings etc. The permission granted to this is a huge exhaustive list including system controls! I am using Karbonn A21+ handset.

Welcome to Android Central! That sounds like a big problem. Have you tried any respectable antivirus apps like Malwarebytes, Lookout, or Avast?

It sounds like a factory reset may be the best course of action. Before the reset, go to Settings>Backup & Reset, and uncheck "Automatically Restore." After the reset, once you're finished with the Setup Wizard, go immediately to the Play Store, swipe in from the left and tap My Apps, and see if any apps are installing automatically. Stop them immediately.
