My Samsung A5 only connects to the router at a cose range. How do I fix this?

Android Central Question

I've come to the conclusion that the problem lies with the phone itself as all other devices connects easily when not in close range to the router. I've tried various things such as clearing cache and cache partition, toggling the Wi-Fi, and resetting network settings. I would like to avail of all options before I take it to the store to get an expert to check it.

Has anyone ever experienced something like this? Please help if you have a solution.

Either the antenna cable isn't plugged in (how does Bluetooth work - they use the same antenna), or the WiFi radio is bad.

In either case, unless you've repaired phones before, I strongly suggest that you bring it in for repair. (If it's the radio, that means a new motherboard so unless it's a pretty new, and expensive, [meaning the A5 2017] phone, be prepared to just walk away from it. That means backing everything up first.)
