NFC won't transfer ebooks

I have 2 Nexus 7 tablets. I have an ebook (with no drm) on one, and I want to share it with the other tablet. When placing the 2 tablets together with the ebook open on the one, it ACTS like it works, but the ebook does not show up. I am using Aldiko on both tablets. All that happens on the receiving tablet is it open the Aldiko app, but the transfer never happens. Am I doing something wrong, or does NFC simply not transfer ebooks?

The app is responsible for how the NFC communication behaves, so it is most likely a problem with the Aldiko app.

+1 Also, when you android beam with an app open it will beam the app itself. that's why aldiko just opened on the other device.

this happens with all apps.

if you open android beam in settings it says at the end. "The app determines what get beamed"

try using app called bump in the market
