Phone stuck in Network mode. 22

It's an lg stay 5 I am not able to change my preferred network mode it says network mode 22.. Network operators are not working either. when I try to make calls, my phone thinks it’s in Airplane mode and “ radio off “ appears there. I have no service unless it's Wi-Fi. It's not the SIM card because I tried it another phone and the *#*#4636#*#* I've already tried but nothing works it just all a sudden did this

Welcome to Android Central! I assume you mean LG Stylo 5. Did you get this phone from your carrier, or from somewhere else? Are you certain the carrier still supports your phone? Some carriers (like AT&T) have been warning customers about phones that will no longer be supported due to the requirement to be compatible with their VoLTE.

I bought the phone off ebay and I have Qlink wireless but I don't think that has anything to do with the phone because even when I take the card out it still stays in Network mode 22 ,radio off/airplane mode

Can you try your sim in another phone?

Yes my SIM worked in two other phones . It was working in my LG 5 for 6 months until now . I was in the middling of texting someone and that is when it went to network mode 22 and radio off no signal. Even with the card out and resetting the network it won't work I even did factory reset.....i don't understand what the deal is and I'm bad with all the new tecs/phone! I'm a blooming ***** when it comes to cell phones

You using a VPN , if so turn it off

Also if turning the VPN off doesn't work I think the radio in the phone has failed and this would be a hardware problem. I don't know if it is something that can be fixed or is worth being fixed.

Also see if this happens in Safe Mode: https://www.t-mobile.com/support/devices/android/lg-stylo-5/safe-mode-lg-stylo-5. If VPN is off and it still happens in Safe Mode, then I would agree that it's likely hardware failure.

Same happened to me same lg stlo 5 phone bought from metro pcs unlocked and on the qlink network..just started with the turn airplane off or connect to wifi network to make a call..wont even make a call when connected to wifi either..says network mode 22 and wont let me change it..any body got a fix? Cant even change it with the sim card out

I am also experiencing the same exact issues as everyone else. Mode 22. No radio. Says airplane mode is on . but it isnt. Says my network is disconnected. But shows my phone number. Ughhh

Hey did you get any solution for this i am facing same issue.
after turn on radio mode it automatic turn off after few minutes or when screen goes off.
please share your experience.

yes i am aware LG is out of cell phone business but LG devices are still working so can't discard it until it's dead.

in network setting > Mobile Network -> Network Mode - Preferred network mode 22
if i ceick ther it will gives the options GSM/WCDMA?LTE Auto unfortunately i am not able to select any
