anyone else try this out? I did, it seems great except it won't play flash videos. I installed the latest flash player but no luck. It plays sound but no video.

I'm currently running this rom, after upgrading from Liquid 3.0, which I love. Gotta say that I'm liking 3.1 too!

In regards to the flash video thing, I think this is a common problem with AOSP roms (or maybe just the ones I've been using) and flash player. The fix is to get into the flash/config.data file for whatever web browser you're using and remove all the permissions from the file and re-save it. I often have to re-do it after a while too. Flash videos do work, but this flash bug is pretty annoying.

Do you happen to have a link where they explain this? Do I just use root explorer and find that file, then edit it? I'm pretty technical, but I've never had to edit the data files on here before.

To fix flash all I did was go to manage applications and clear data for adobe flash. Then I ininstalled it and re installed it from the market.

I know it's mentioned in a number of places on XDA (which is where I learned about it), but I don't remember a link. Here's a quick rundown.
  1. Open Root Explorer (or other file explorer with root access) and mount system as R/W
  2. Navigate to the correct folder (for dolphin mini, it is data/data/com.dolphin.browser/app_plugins/com.adobe.flashplayer/.macromedia/Flash_Player) (for other browsers, the path is different--instead of com.dolphin.browser it will be something else. For Dolphin HD, it's mobi.mgeek.tunnybrowser and for the stock browser, I think it is com.android.browser)
  3. Open up the config.data file and delete everything inside of it and re-save it. You can also just delete the config.data file. Either way, you will likely have to do it again at some point.
  4. Flash videos should now work properly!

If I recall, the bug is in the flash player itself and effects videos with a resolution greater than 240p. It's certainly annoying, but I just bookmarked the relevant file in Root Explorer so I can quickly fix it when needed. Hope that helps!

I've been trying to flash an AOSP rom for the last 2 days. First Slayher's CM7 then Protekk's CM7 and now Liquids. I keep getting stuck at the white HTC screen, and never get past to a Boot animation. Im coming from Bamf 1.07. I am able to get it back through NANDROID. I was able to flash and use Mini Bamf, but that lacks the features of the other AOSP roms. Any ideas? I am wiping DATA/CACHE/System/Dalvik between flashes

Check your md5s.

Have you updated to ay least mr2 radio?

MD5's match. 3 separate ROM downloads and they were the only AOSP roms. I flash roms like every 2 days and have never had a mis matched MD5. It'd be a STRANGE coincidence if the 3 that didn't work
happened to be the only 3 AOSP roms.

My radio is the one right before the official MR3 OTA that got pulled. Is it possible that CM7 based ROMs are not compatible with this radio? I could flash back to MR2.

I have no idea what is wrong with yours. Maybe email Liquid and ask.

Just flashed the latest GB radio, redownloaded Liquid, confirmed matching MD5, wiped everything, and flashed. Same thing. Can't get past white spash screen. I pull the battery, boot into recovery and flash miniBamf and it works. I don't this is a strange issue. I can flash any sense rom but no CM7 based rom.

I would contact Liquid but it isn't just his rom. Its all the CM7 variants I've tried that don't work.

I'm sure you gave it enough time, because it can take 5 minutes or more to get past the white HTC screen... and I've had this happen to me... but did you try it again after you did a battery pull... wipe data/cache and dalvik cache again, then flash it again???

That is very strange. If I were you I'd hop onto irc chat. Someone on there should be able to help you.

Yea I gave it a solid 5 minutes, at least, because I thought that the first boot may take exceptionally long. I also pulled the battery, and tried again. Wiped again and tried again. Wiped again and reflashed and tried again. Same thing.

That's a good idea I just might do that. Truth is Bamf is running phenomenally for me. It always has. I just wanted to get away from Sense for a while. If it can't be fixed, its not a big deal. Im more curious to figure out WHY it isn't working, as opposed to furious that its not.
