Why can't I install App or Update

[Android Central Question]

I am trying to install the Influenster app to my Z3001S device but am told via the google play store that the app won't work on my device. Influenster support suggests I update my device. When I go to 'update ZTE software" I am told the update failed.

Hate to say it, but it looks like that phone was one of the free QLink government phones that was obsolete by design over 4 years ago when it was released. No company is offering updates 4 years after releasing a phone, and I doubt the hardware would even run any current OS version. If this app is important to you, your only option would be to upgrade to a better phone, preferably not another government sponsored one (QLink phones are problematic and extremely low spec).
