Cant send or receive text messages all of s sudden

Anyone ever seen this before? All of sudden i can't send or receive texts?? I have only had my S3 less than a week now? I have restarted several times and have pulled the sim card and battery out with no luck!

Any suggestions if this is a phone or network issue?

I haven't had a issue. Maybe it's the network. I'd call your carrier in the morning if it doesn't start working by then.

Are you using the stock messaging app?
Do you have a normal cellular signal?
Is this happening with both SMS (which uses the base cellular signal) and MMS (which may also utilize your data [1x/3g/4g] signal)?
Did you install anything around the time this behavior started?
Last resort would be a factory reset...

I get this from time to time just restart the phone fixes it everytime

I have restarted, pulled the sim card and battery several times with no luck. Verizon says its the area i am in roaming on another carrier. Problem is everyone who I am with on Verizon is not having the same problem. Maybe i should have stuck with AT&T?

Stock app and others. Both dont work. On 3G in the area I am in. Cant send either SMS or MMS.

1. How many messages do you have? First try deleting a few then try to send some. If that does not work then try the following:

2. Clear the data from the SMS app (you will lose your messages) then reboot.

Did you solve this?
My texting is really buggy on first day,
switching from iphone3gs to SCH-I535 (Galxy s3).
I think it has to do with porting the contacts which I
used "easy phone sync" app to do.
Apologize if this is answered elsewhere.

Oh I also meant to add: I have trouble deleting my ported
text threads. It crashes when I try to select all. It will delete
one by one, so far, but that's really a pain.
