Stock Text App

I am using the regular stock text app. I tried Handcent and GOSMS and didnt really like them. I have one problem though. When I send messages I like to get the deliver report. But with the stock app is there a way to turn it off so I dont get an alert so my phone doesnt go off. I just want to get the report. Anyone know how to do this?

Have u Cheked the settings in the sms app

Yes I can't find where it says not to come through the status bar or wont alert me. I just want to show in the messages that it was recieved not an alert.
