Battery Drain

Im getting 9 hours max on a charge with google maps killing it. what can i do to stop this? ive tried app manager by gemini and task killer. does ICS do this too? its gingerbread obviously...

force close the app. that is, stop the service and close the app. if you do not use maps often you may wish to uninstall it and monitor battery life without maps to make a comparison and see if your battery life will increase.
