HDMI disabled after lollipop update on HUDL 2

After the update to lollipop I can no longer use HDMI to my TV - the Options for HDMI in "settings" are all greyed out? As a work around casting works but it would be nice to have HDMI functionality back. Any suggestions?

Tesco have confirmed that this is the case and are supposedly looking at an update to fix. Don't hold your breath. AFAIK there is no workaround apart from rolling back to KitKat but I don't know if there are any files available to do this
