Applications not staying on SD card

I have a Samsung S9 and over 80% of the applications that I put on the SD card end up coming back to internal memory. This happens even when there is no update. It's a very labor intensive process to put each one back individually. Can anyone help me keep these apps on the SD card?

Something is fishy with oreo. It corrupted all my pictures videos and music when I copied from the device. If you haven't done a reset I would do that and format that card. It fixed my issues with that too.

Remember, though - most apps are no longer written to be able to run from the SD card. The developer would have to first develop a whole "run from SD card" library, then develop the app.
