Transfer files/photos to sd card

I have tried the various methods for transferring files to sd card but none works on my galaxy s8, which has a slightly different layout from every example I have seen. When I go to "my files", select "photos", then "camera", hold and select a photo to copy or move (the steps I always read) the options show up at the screen bottom, including "move" and "copy". When I select either of these options I get 2 choices: "cancel" or "move/copy here". But "move/copy here" is always faded and can't be selected, even with a single photo. I am very frustrated. Please help! Thank you.

Try this:

On the Play Store, download the Google Files app. Within the GF app select Internal Storage, then folder and files, and choose copy or move. You should then see a storage device to complete the operation.

Welcome to Android Central! I agree with stevenjb2020 (the exact name of the app is Files by Google, by the way). Another good choice would be Total Commander.
