Droid was in my pocket and went through the washing machine. Will it dry out and be functional again? And how
do you take it apart?

separate the removables: sim - sd card - battery. leave in a sealable bag of uncooked rice for 48 hours min. Screen may take 5 days to clear blotches etc. so try to not use in that time. the earlier you put it in rice (OR Ispropyl Achohol at as high a percentage as available, non commercial 99% is best but lower % is OK), the better. ^This! Also, I have placed devices in front of a box fan for 10 hours to speed up drying. I did this without the rice, and it worked perfectly. Hope it works out well for you.
