When trying to connect to wifi, why do I get authentication error occurred on my S3 mini?

Have you checked that the password for the network you're trying to connect to is correct and hasn't changed? You can also try 'forgetting' the network in your phone (reboot afterwards just in case) and re-adding it with the right credentials.

Also, if you're on a public WiFi or using a network with a lot of users, bear in mind that some routers 'cap out' when a certain number of connections has been reached, and if this happens, the network will not allow you to log in and join it.
