Why won't my G Pad 8.3 switch on or charge?

my g pad 8.3 will not switch on or charge

Hi I have used my Gpad almost every day without any problems for well over a year. Then after not using it for a week or so it seems to have died..it will not switch on or acknowledge any charger I have tried different chargers and leads which work fine on other devices . thanks for any help.

Welcome to Android Central! Any idea how long it's been dead? If the battery is close to zero, devices shut off automatically. The battery will still have a small amount of charge left in order to protect itself, because if the charge drops to true zero, then the battery is irreversibly gone. So whenever a phone or tablet dies, it's important to start charging it back up relatively soon. If you don't, the battery will ultimately discharge to true zero, which means it can't be revived.

Plug it into a wall outlet and let it sit for at least 12 hours without disturbing it. Then try powering on. Sometimes a device needs to charge for several hours before there's enough juice to even power on.
