I already reformatted it since nothing was on it. Then when I went to create a folder in it after the reformatting.it wouldn't do it. Not sure if I need an app or software to do something about it. For it to work on this phone ,I'm new to this whole app smart phone stuff. Please some help and pointers.

have you tried formatting it thru phone? put the sd card in your phone and format the sd card in the phone settings.
