Samsung Focus/Default email issue with gmail

So, yesterday, Samsung Focus wouldn't allow me to send any mail. My first thought to alleviate the problem was to sign out and sign back in. Upon signing out however, I'm unable to get back in. I get an error saying that either my username/password are incorrect (not the case) or that POP3/IMAP are not enabled with my account, I checked with my dad and that isn't the case either. The problem persists with the default samsung/Android email client as well...any ideas?
