google+ no notifications...help me please

i am not reciving any notifications from the google+ app.i have notifications turned on in the app but i have sync for google+ turn off. is that why it wont show up?

If G+ is not being synced, it won't get anything to notify you about. So definitely turn on G+ sync in the Settings>Accounts-Google​ menu.

Turned it on and I got a notification when someone commented on my post 1 time but I won't get any more notifications after that

The frequency with which the G+ app updates its notifications can be kind of unpredictable. I also notice that the app often doesn't show an immediate notification in the status bar -- but if I go to the app and tap the Notifications bell icon, there may be one or more waiting. So you're not alone.
