How to get my head set off my SET phone

I Bluetooth,ed headset to my ZTE... phone all through I in paired it and turned off my Bluetooth The head set is still showing up in connected devices with blue tooth off. And I have to use speaker mode to talk on my phone please help

I connected my bluetooth head set to my phone and now even though I in pared it and turned my Blue tooth off the head set is still connected and I can only use speaker mode to hear my phone calls please help
