After android oreo update my calls are dropped after 4 hours.

Is there anyway for me to go back to the older version or fix this ive been on the phone for almost 24 hours on several occasions and it has just started doing this.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Are you saying that you were on 4 hour long phone call, and then the call got dropped?

That is correct. And i have a samsung galaxy s8+ byop with straighttalk

Have multiple calls dropped after 4 hours, or just once? Calls that last that long are relatively unusual, so I imagine it could just be a coincidental network problem that caused the dropped call.

I usually stay otn the phone with my gf at night and ive had calls that have been almost 24 hours. It seems like when i updated to oreo my calls started being dropped after 4 hours and 1 second

Have you asked your carrier if there is any limitation on their side? For example, it looks like T-Mobile has had a 4 hour time limit for a while:

I havent. i have at&t and i never had a problem with a call limit until i updated

Straight Talk tells you, right up front, that you can make unlimited (within reason) calls. They used to cut at the 30 minute mark - 4 hours is an improvement. (It's not the phone, it's not Oreo, it's Straight Talk. They pay for your air time, especially since AT&T voice is 3G.)
