.nomedia not working for call recorder

I have copied .nomedia file from WhatsApp audio folder and placed in record/phonerecord folder.

I have restarted the phone as well.

Still all call recorded files are showing in MP3 players. Suggest pls.

Welcome to Android Central! It may depend on the mp3 player. Some music player apps will simply show what's in a directory, rather than accessing the system's media database (which is how .nomedia hides directories). A preinstalled stock music player and Google Play Music are examples of players that access the media database rather than directly showing the contents of a directory -- .nomedia should hide a directory from those apps.
