Would plugging in a phone splitter work with two devices at the same time?

I have a samsung galaxy 9 phone and planning to buy a splitter to connect it to my tv and to another bluetooth device like a controller. Would both techs connected to my phonr function normally? Would it cause any harm to my phon?
