Installed apps do not show on my screen

I install an app but it does not show up on my phone

There is a setting on some devices to have new apps automatically place themselves on the home screen, this is enabled on some devices and disabled on others. Unlike Apple, with Android you have a choice as to what is on your home screens though. You have an app drawer (sometimes a swipe up from the bottom, sometimes there's an icon to tap but this depends on what device you have which you didn't tell us), you can long-press the icon in there and while holding it drag it to the home screen where you want it.
