Question on Overclocking the NC

Hi, I have a question and I'm new to every thing.
I just bought the Nook Color, and intend to update to Froyo 2.2 from B&N's upgrade 1.2. Do I have to root it before I overclock it to 1.1GHz ?? Thanks for helping.

if you upgrade to B&N latest software you won't be able to easily root yet, or overclock as far as I know! in a few days there should be some posts on rooting and overclocking

You can do it all off your sdcard and save your warranty for hardly no cash at all so I recommend that till your warranty runs out completely. You will find the card runs everything pretty slick and you won't have to worry about borking up your internals while developers keep releasing more and more stuff. Seems something new pops up every day for the NC.
