Why can't I check for updates on my AT&T BlackBerry Priv?

Can't check for updates on AT&T Blackberry Priv

My wife has the Blackberry Priv from AT&T. Marshmallow is finally available for the phone, but the "System Updates" selection in settings is grayed out. I used to be able to select it and have it check for updates. Now I can't even do that. Is there something that I can do to enable that? Or is this update only available by being pushed to the device?

Have you checked in the past 24 hours? I know it locks you out from checking more than once every 24h

FWIW, my update was pushed to the phone this morning and I just had to hit update
