Pictures with gray blocks in editor

After I take a picture and look at it in either the gallery or camera app, there are huge gray sections. Some you can't even see the pictures. This has happened immediately after taking the picture and also a few days later. I tried opening them through gallery and it shows the whole picture but when I click on the individual photo I get the gray blocks.

When I uploaded pictures to my computer I get two of each, the original good picture and the one with the gray parts.

Is there a way to fix this so I can look at pictures on my phone? Thank you.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Are the photos saving to Internal Storage or the microSD card? If the latter, then the card might be corrupt or defective--try a different card.
