What does Used com.lge.upsell mean?

I get this on my history..Used com.lge.upsell.what does it mean

Welcome to Android Central! I'm not sure exactly what it does, but the "lge" part means it's an official system app from LG (lge means LG Electronics). So you don't have to worry about it being malware.

With all the shady crap going on with every app down to but not including the basic weather app selling our location and other data,

What is LG Upsell and why was it put on our phone with what is clearly the name of a tracking program?

I saw that it was 75kb but that means nothing.

So as op asked, What is LG Upsell and why is it on our device.

That is not what they asked.

Did you notice the part where I said I'm not sure what it does? My point was that it's from LG, so it's not malware per se. Sure, it might be doing something annoying, like maybe wanting to remind the user about upgrading their service. But it's not malware that intends to steal all of your data and sell it on the Dark Web.
