Nexus 7 2013 doesn't show up on any computer

Hi all, I need some help from the community please.

I can't connect my Nexus 7 2013 (flo) to a laptop, in fact it doesn't shop up on any computer I've tried.
It's definitely not a cable issue. MTP enabled in Settings but there's no usual pop-up message to choose MTP when I plug the tablet in.

It doesn't show up anywhere in the device manager in fact. Driver installation on the laptop wouldn't help (and since I tried different laptops it's definitely a tablet issue).

I'm lost - any ideas how to solve it?

Without seeing the phone I can't do more than guess, but I'm guessing that the connector in the phone had one or both data pins break off or become disconnected from the board it's mounted on. At any rate, it has to go into a repair shop.
