How to update HTC M8 from kitkat 4.4.2 (At&t phone unlocked and being used in Mexico)

Hi, I bought my phone on Amazon. It's an At&t htc one m8 unlocked for use on other cellular services (currently in use in Mexico). Im wondering how to get software updates because all At&t services are unavailable since the phone is no longer under an at&t network. It still runs on the at&t software. My question is how can I update from 4.4.2 or maybe unlink my phone from at&t? Thank you in advance!

You can manually update your phone via the HTC website. But it a total destructive wipe of your phone so back up everything before you do it
