I was able to connect my Galaxy S5 yesterday in preparation for a trip. I initially had problems with the usb having a power surge. I tried to add my music library, but it failed half way through. Today, it was having trouble connecting but after messing with it long enough, it connected. I had the usb problem again, so I uninstalled the usb controllers and restarted to get them reinstalled. Now the phone will charge and make the connection sound, but it does not appear on my computer at all.
I have removed the battery and sim and restarted, tried two different original cables, tried different usb ports, and none if it helped, I have no idea what to do.
