[HOW TO] Install USB drivers for the LG Optimus One

When I first connected my phone to the computer it did nothing but charge, so I then downloaded the drivers from LG's website, and now it comes saying that USB is connected, then it brings up a screen that USB connected, with a button that says turn on USB storage, so i click it and it comes on, but I still do not have the icon of the USB that lets you decide what you want to do. What am I missing??

Also I am running Thunderom

I also tried the steps at the start of the forum and when i start the download for the drivers it comes up with File create error and doesn't download.

All the linked drivers which I could find and tried weren't recognized by my Optimus V (virgin mobile LGVM670)
I used the LG download tool and specified the VM670, and it brought me this and put it in my hard drive root
LGVM670 drivers
hopefully, this will save others from having to install the lg download tool just to get the handset drivers...
btw, I'm runnig windozeXPsp3.

Greetings, people.

I have the Optimus T. It would not connect to Windows (Windows said it couldn't find the driver, and the phone did not acknowledge the connection at all).

I changed the phone's memory setting to "mass storage only". That did not actually do what it says, but in fact made it acknowledge the connection and charge, and gives me the option screen to switch to mass storage mode (i.e., it now works normally even though I set it to only do one thing). I did not have to download any drivers.

I was able to install the drivers, and I can see in windows device manager. However I can't access my SD card via windows when I'm plugged in via USB.

Howdy,

Are there any known issues with these drivers and XP? I just got the phone and installed using the instructions without issue on my 2 vista PC's (thank you). But the app will not install on my XP stations at work (I am assuming that whatever site the app uses is being blocked by my work's firewall). I used the USB drivers and they install without issue.

But when I plug in the phone the PC does not even acknowlege the connection (but the phone charges), I tried the mass storage only but nadda

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Driver installs great, but getting a failure on Android Platform Sooner Single ADB Interface. Any pointers cause right now adb won't recognize phone.

I was able to find the LGVM670 drivers in the update tool now, although I haven't made it through the entire process yet. Regardless, thanks to you and gbhil!
