Moto g5 s plus display wakes up with slightest movement

[Android Central Question]

What is the purpose of having the phone lit up with such fine movement.it losed battery even on standby.4% within 5 hours of complete standby ,no apps running. I have not yet set up the phone.
My redmi 4 on the other hand loses just 1% or less during my sleep of around 7 hours with several apps running and IT Shows the notifications when they come up. No useless working the motion sensor.

Welcome to the forums. That's Moto Display in action. It doesn't use much battery at all and most people find this feature very helpful. If you don't like it you can disable it in the Moto app.

or just put the phone face down, it should disable it.
