Why do I have 3 "phone" apps on my Moto X?

I have a voicemail icon stuck in my notification bar. I have restarted my phone several times and it's still there. While i was researching through the forums, someone suggested you can clear it from the phone app. I have 3 phone apps on my phone. Two of them say "Phone", and one of them says "Phone/Messaging Storage". Why? Should I delete two? If so, which ones do I delete?

Hi, welcome to the forums! Which Moto X model do you have? Is it still running Lollipop or did you update to Marshmallow? The duplicated phone app it's an issue that affects some Moto devices running Lollipop and there's not much you can do about it. It doesn't affect the normal performance of the phone.

If you want to clear data to get rid of the voicemail notification try this. Swipe down from the status bar, long press on the notification, tap on app info and it'll take you to the right app. Just remember that next time you reboot your phone the voicemail notification will be back.
