USB icon suddenly missing from screen, can't access to transfer photos, was working until today

This feature was working, when I pulled down the bar, USB charging was one of the options, and I could change to transfer photos, and the phone showed up on windows explorer. Now it doesn't show at all.

Welcome to Android Central! Have you tried other USB cables? Cables can fail without notice. If the same thing happens with other cables, check the phone's microUSB port and make sure there isn't any debris in there.
