Hi guys. I'm trying to figure out how to erase all bluetooth device history from my unrooted XT1575. I paired a device and renamed it, but had trouble with it connecting. It was also added as a trusted device. I unpaired it (forget), turned it off, cleared all app data and cache from the Bluetooth Share app and the NFC app. I rebooted the phone (several times).
However, each time I try to re-pair it fresh - it reverts back to the "renamed" device name - which means that there is some address/name mapping stored somewhere that I'm not finding. No apps are able to connect to the bluetooth LE device, so I want to clear everything, but I must be missing something.
I am not opposed to rooting my phone, but its not clear to me if there is a stable clark release for Marshmallow.
Any help would be appreciated.
