Rooted Republic Wireless Moto X ready for OTA?

I am anticipating the long awaited KitKat update for my Moto X (current version is 4.2.2, model XT1049) that should be coming any day now. I initially thought that rooting this device would make it better but after playing around with the Xposed Framework I found it unnecessary because the Moto X is awesome how it is! My concern right now is that if I receive the OTA it will brick my phone so I did the following: I uninstalled the Xposed framework, went into safestrap and flashed the Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip, and then uninstalled Safstrap through the safestrap app. As far as I know the device has no rooted mods on it right now and only have the stock recovery. I really don't see the need to keep root so is it safe for me to accept the OTA when I receive it?

I am well aware of RSD Lite but am reluctant to use it because I will lose all my data and seems like a long process to do. If it comes down to it I will use though because I really want this update!

Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!
